I just wrapped up our first Creator Conversation at Creator Elevation Camp with the one and only Dr. Black Love. We had an amazing and insightful discussion that I can't wait to share with you. Here’s a recap of what went down:



What’s the Creator Elevation Camp? Every Monday at 3:00 PM PST, we’re diving deep with creators from all walks of life. Whether they’re just starting out or already established, we want to hear their stories, their challenges, and their victories. The goal is to create a safe space where we can all learn and grow together, especially here on Fanbase.

Meeting Dr. Black Love Dr. Black Love, also known as the Love Doctor, has an incredible journey. He started his creative career with poetry, using TikTok as his primary platform. Initially, I was surprised to hear TikTok was his main focus—it's often seen as a surface-level app, but Dr. Black Love showed us it's so much more. He’s successfully built a community there by sharing his love for poetry and relationships.

During our conversation, he shared how he got his name and the inspiration behind his brand. It was fascinating to hear how he transitioned from doing mukbangs during the pandemic to becoming a voice for Black love on his podcast, "Successful Black Love." Despite facing challenges like inconsistency and finding his niche, Dr. Black Love is committed to spreading positive messages about love and relationships.

Insights on Relationships Dr. Black Love touched on the importance of knowing your target audience, and how crucial it is to understand who you’re speaking to as a creator. We also talked about monetization—he was very honest about not currently monetizing his platforms, which is something many creators can relate to. His advice? If you've been consistently creating content for a few months without seeing growth or monetization, it might be time to step back and reassess.
